Very Satisfied

All of my websites are run via GoDaddy. When I needed another hosting account, I came there and found a 1&1 deal that was too good to pass up. Since my new website was temporary (annoucements about a high school reunion), I decided to give them a shot.

Three months in and I'm very happy. I had a minor issue with the set up, but 1&1 Customer Service resolved it quickly via email. (The problem was something I created, simply because I was trying to do things the way I usually do at GoDaddy.) Their webmail system is great.

I will certainly consider using 1&1 for my next website. And, I'd recommend them without reservations.

Inexpensive and Reliable

Have been hosting my websites here since 2004, with no problems. Billing has been accurate, control panel easy to use, and little-to-no downtime

Good hosting; bad accounting -- watch out!

I had a huge battle with this hosting provider when I wanted to transfer my domain names to another provider (site5.com). At the end of the agreed term, they told me I have to prepay for 3 months at a time and that they would then give me a refund for any unused full months of hosting after I cancel or transfer my domains. So you end of paying for an extra month, for each domain, regardless. I said no and ended up sending them decease and desist letters citing NYC consumer protection laws. They gave up eventually. I think this company is a customer mill/scam and I strongly recommend you shop around before giving them your credit card number.

I just wanted to say that they are about as reliable as any company I have done business with. I was with 1&1 Internet for about 5 years and I never once had a problem with down time. Excellent customer service! I would still be with them if I didn't sell my business.
