Excellent -- but be aware they are in Canada

I often find the used book I want in the best condition for the lowest price at one of the shops that are affiliated with AbeBooks (Use bookfinder.com) Just be aware that even though the shop is in the US, AbeBooks to whom you make payment is "foreign" so I have to pay an extra 3% to my credit card company. Perhaps you know a way to avoid this fee. I think using Paypal would.

A 'Mall' for Used Books

What a great service. I've been ordering through AbeBooks for several years and have yet to be disappointed. Incredible selection and great prices. The one time I didn't receive a book(seller went out of business), AbeBooks promptly refunded my money.

Read the Details!

I have ordered many books from many vendors that work with Abe; you get most any book and get to choose what condition its in and how much you think its worth since they may have a hundred copies from various vendors all told. If you want hardcovers, new, ones published before 1969 or only US companies all you have to do is say so. Do read the details and know that a used book will most likely look used. Abe is the place you can find tiny, regional bookstores - I love that! Choose well, be happy!

I really love Abebooks!!!

I have shopped this site for several years and usually find what I what at the price I am willing to pay! This site allows you comparison shopping and many free shipping opportunities. The only negative I've found is the occasional dealer who may not keep stock postings up to date!

Foreign store!

Apparently they charge you in USD, however they are not a US company and atleast my credit card charged me a 3% fee for the transaction.

Be careful ordering!

Though the prices are great, the additional charge (from your bank) for "international transfer" fee may make this a deal killer. This store/provider is located in Victoria, BC. Most of the shippers are from the US, and do not charge shipping, but there MAY be additional fees from your bank. Just be forewarned.
