I just bought a couple of black SP2P01H "AA" Maglite Pro's (LINK ) from Amazon for $20 each as co-worker gifts. If you haven't seen a Maglite Pro flashlight, you'd be amazed at how incredibly bright they are. They put ALL of my incandescent and older multi-led flashlights to shame. My only gripe is they are so bright, if you look directly at the light you will have "blind streaks" for a while. If you're looking for them in stores, pay careful attention to the packaging; newer Maglites with the newer LED technology have the Lumens printed on the cover. The older models show "Meters" on the package.
Great find OP.
Edit: Got my order in for local store pickup. Thanks OP!
The SP2P09H (Gray) is what I have.... bought it from Ace as soon as it went on sale.
Light output is similar in LUMENS to some of the 3D and 3C lines (low to mid 200s).
But that is where the similarity ends. This is LED, which is a "whiter" light. The incandescent / LCD lights are a softer, somewhat yellower light.
And as tempting as it is, I would never INTENTIONALLY looks directly at one of these lights... just as I would never accidentally look at a laser light. "Blind streaks" if you are lucky.... BLIND is more likely.
This is the best price I have seen. I think Amazon will try from time to time to get close to matching this price. and my local Ace said this is the price through Christmas.... with my contractor discount, I get them even cheaper!
If I hadn't just bought a few new mult-C and and Multi-D lights (mostly for the "hit you over the head factor"), I would be backing up the bus for these.... probably the best gift for your better half, to keep in the glove compartment. And even though I have 10 or 20 Harbor Freight freebies stashed around the house for power outages, I think I will put 4 or 5 of these right next to them....
Nice find. Just be aware that Ace Hardware is using an order fulfillment system that they acquired by traveling back in time to 1990. Once you place your order, you will have to wait 2-3 days for them to send the order to the store. Even if the store has the flashlight in stock, they won't be able to find your order. I was there today (Dec 20) and the most current order they have is dated Dec 18. I managed to convince them to release the flashlight to me after showing them the order confirmation and payment confirmation.
The price at the store is $17.99 so it's not like you can walk in there and pick one up for $14.99. YMMV as your Ace Hardware may be closer to the donkey stall so your donkey may get to the store faster.

Confirmed. But here we are far away from the shipping warehouse, so even if the item is in stock in the store, you have to wait more than a week until YOUR order is received at the store and becomes ready for pick-up.
