Sorry about that, in there now

The 5 port 40w (8 amps) with cord (especially good for when you have narrow access to the outlet) is only $6 more. This old deal is still alive:

Just remember that you cannot plug Samsung Devices into the 'apple' ports

All ports on the 5-ports one are smart ports. You can plug either one on any port

It has very positive reviews, but isn't that regular price? Also, for those that care, Anker chargers are not UL certified.

Are you sure?  I have one of the other Ankers and I cannot plug any Samsung into the apple ports.  You might notice 2 ports are marked Apple...same as mine.

This one is like that - the 5 port one has all ports working as smart ports - they'll put out 2.1A, 1.5A or 0.5A depending on what device you plug in.  Max output is 8A regardless.  You could charge 3 iPads and one Samsung for example.

That's the one I'm going to get. I travel a lot and understand that the OP's deal is warm since the prongs don't collapse and the weight of the unit itself falls out of plugs. This is a serious concern since most hotel outlets are worn out and not tight. The extension cord on the 5 port model would allow me to place the brick on the nightstand. Thanks!

  why not?

I plug my iphone into my galaxy tab charger and sometimes use my apple dongle usb charger for my tab.
