Curious why this is a deal? I might not be up on this type of bottle I guess cause to me it seems expensive.

Because its the glass type of sports bottle -- versus the cheaper plastics. The canteen type aluminum is about the same as glass for cost. This one also has the bite-seal which costs more. (also not, only this color is discounted from what I saw)

I use the higher grade plastic bottles myself, usually Nalgene. Glass just weighs too much for biking, as well as being breakable no matter HOW much you wrap it. (dropped mine a few times)
