  Wow! That was a great deal.

I paid $23 for my pair of Wapta Boots and think they're worth far more.  With all the past deals on these, I'm surprised they still have any, because they really are very nice.  I'm tempted to buy another pair for when my current one's wear out, but I don't believe in having money sit on a shelf.

I would not worry about waterproof shoes for Machu Picchu.  If your feet get wet it is because its raining, not because you were jumping through puddles.  I would however spend some time on the stairmaster, pack lite and hire a porter.  Awesome hike.
