Pricey but decent

Athleta has quality clothing that holds up, but they could come down on their prices and still have a HUGE fan base. (In fact, their fan base would grow even more if their clothing (especially pants) were more reasonably priced). $79 for a pair of yoga pants?

Quality active wear for women from The Gap

I have a few pieces from Athleta. They carry lots of sizes, including petite and tall. The shorts, if it is appropriate, tie in addition to buttons or snaps. They also have useful pockets with zips or snaps. Watch for sales so it isn't so expensive.
