Bargain Outfitters is having a 3 day flash sale:   Complete flash sale
The only thing that seemed to be a good deal are the $7 booster cables: American Power™ booster cables
Free shipping, no minimum with code BH635.

They claim they are copper cables.  No gauge listed, but at this price they are probably 10 gauge at best.  Personally, I prefer heavier duty cables.  But if you want some cheap cables that might help, I don't think I've seen a better deal.

It comes with a story.   I got it at the San Francisco FatWallet meet n' greet.  Lots of free schwag, but I only wanted a beer mug.  This mug was the one used for the number draw, and it was the last item given away.  Karma was kind to me.   And as a final note, it's filled with Newcastle Brown Ale.

We keep a set of jumper cables in each car. Not necessarily to jump someone else, although we've done that.
But in case we have a dead battery.
Paid for themselves over the years by not having to be towed.

unless it's your alternator died.  than you are just as dead.

Which happened to me.  Driving and the car alert go off.  To avoid tow, I called my brother and brought a fully charged battery.  Replace with the fully charged battery and the car can go for another hmmm... around 30miles.  Enough to limp to the mechanic and fix alternator.  Now I have 2 batteries, one in use and a backup.  It's much cheaper than the $300 tow.
