got the express dessert maker. It comes with switchable plates for cup cakes, brownies and angel food cakes.

I picked one of these up from a drug store for $5 after Christmas with high expectations. These quickly faded realizing the hardest work was in the making the dough, then rolling it and rolling it and rolling it and rolling it, then folding into a pretzle and trying to fit it into the mold. Save your time and just make sticks that back in 8 minutes in the oven. Will also save you $10. The sticks were awesome and everyone at my superbowl party kept complimenting how good they were. Ohh yeah grab the recipe off a recipe website. Good luck.

Thanks. Looks complicated.

Find a $0.01+ filler and it'd be a perfect companion to this offer: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1261695/

Also, check out the reviews on some of the Nostalgia products on Amazon. Some - like the mini-cupcake maker - have an alarming tendency to melt down. Others seem to work just fine.

heads up, in case you haven't read it.. just FYI.(cut and paste from the product review)
"
My son got this for Christmas and was excited to make pretzels, however he lost interest since the process was so time consuming. On our first try we used a recipe from the provided book and it ended up being too watery so we dumped it and bought Aunt Annie's Pretzel mix from the store. The pretzel dough cutter they provide isn't strong enough to cut entirely through the dough so I had to use a knife to finish the job. When cooking, the pretzels sometimes stuck even though I rubbed the pretzel maker with olive oil between batches. I got tired of the process and time consumption so I rolled/shaped the dough and cooked the rest of the pretzels in the oven. Don't waste your money - use your oven!

I read this really fast & needed to read it again, clear.

Isn't it just easier to actually make soft pretzels by hand? All you need to do is make the dough and then roll pretzels, it's really easy... do you need a machine to make it easier? I'm not sure.

BTW the discovery kids ice cream maker is now $9.99.

either way, she like pretzels.

It's not worth it, might as well just make regular sized ones in the oven. You have to do the same effort and you don't have to worry about trying to fit their ridiculous mold!
