Frys has the same one on sale even cheaper $229 I believe. However last week the Asus deal was better as it had almost the exact same specs but had an optical drive built on for 238 with free shipping.

I think this is a good deal, thanks Mr. C.

It seems the Celeron bashers have gone elsewhere...
They all lived back in the 80 when the Celeron was a dud, the cheap one Intel came out with

Celeron didn't even exist until '98, and in the late '90/early '00, Celerons were great for overlocking.

OK, I get the years wrong...
I do remember Leo Lpaorrte and his take on the Celerons that had the L2 cache removed....
That gave it the bad name.

It's on sale one day every month for a couple of days.

There seems to be a pattern of bad reviews indicating the WiFi on this one is crappy.. Seeing as how we all rely on WiFi for internet these days, just keep that in mind. I'm looking for a ~$250 laptop for a neighbor but passed on this since more than one person mentioned the WiFi dropping out.

A $10 USB type will fix it.
