Since FW has $17.50 Cash Back with Boost, this phone is better than free.  I'm surprised there's not more interest here.

Cash Back available on purchase of device with plan only.

I ordered last night and got the CB email after an hour.

Boost does not sell "device with plan", they are prepaid only.

As someone who did Virgin Mobile deal a while ago where FW took away most of the CashBack after posting it, I wouldn't count on it.
Point is , do you plan to activate this phone with Boost? otherwise you are SOL.

I use mine with WiFi and loaded CoPilot GPS Navigation on it so you don't need a data plan.  It works great.  I don't have the phone activated with anyone.  I just bought it at Target for $10 to play with.

  Not unless you activate it.

Not to TC but the Target deal - new for $10, does repeat every few weeks. So if you can wait, that is a much better deal IMO. In fact the Target CSM had been very helpful and marked down the Hydro Edge for me to $10 as they did not have the Hydro in stock then.

But miqie just bought the phone @ Target. So the sale must be going on this week.

Maps should be able to load and no, you should not need a contract for GPS. I have GPS on my No-Contract and it works great.

rated:
Will these work on Sprint? Maybe cheap way to exploit the T-Mobile contract buyout offer.

rated:
If you go on the Target website... this phone is $59... so NOT ON SALE this week.

I had the same question before I bought from Target in December

Everything works fine without activation...  I used it on a trip recently with MapFactor GPS Navigator free edition and that alone was worth 5X what I paid for the phone
Now I use it with IP Cam Soft to monitor my security cameras

GPS... Bluetooth... wifi.... all work fine w/o activation.  Best $10 I ever spent.
