Would this be better than the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 for video purposes?

No idea which is actually better but in my experience OEM lenses retain resale value far better than sigma/tamron

Supposedly better than 24-70 Mark I and almost as good as 24-70 Mark II
Neither of which have image stabilization. So probably better results on shoulder mounted rig and definitely handheld.

How can I checkout with Canon version? It only comes up with Nikon.

Answered my own question:  You have to go to the buydig website. The $200 discount appears at the review screen during checkout.
