Kind of sounds like these are a pain in the ass to use

I think Dell try to scam us, they should allow us to use all gift card at once, some how they seem to make it difficult to use all gift card at once, beside that fact they been going down hill because the way they handle the order.
Woog, you can use the special eGift Card to buy a regular gift card and have it overnighted to you for free to extend the promotional period. Same thing with $400 eGift Card and then call and have them consolidated. I know its a pain but $75 is $75 and I have seen some good deals on laptops recently as well.

Yeah your right it is a pain in the butt. I guess if you need the money it makes sense. Dell is one of the absolutely worst companies to speak with over the phone. They are the reason I got my first speaker phone 10 years ago.

I've got to agree with you there. If you can do business with Dell online then that is the preferred method. I've hung up on Dell several times.
For those who hate lengthy phone calls with Dell: During the holidays they had a promotion virtually identical to this one. I believe it had the same "no combining cards" and "you can only use multiple cards if you call us" restrictions, but people (including me) had success using 2 cards on a single purchase by ordering via chat. Log in to your account, pick your product, add it to your cart, then start a chat session and let the CS representative know that you want to buy the item in your cart but can't figure out how to add both gift cards. Give the rep both numbers, endure 20 minutes of sales pitches for add-ons, and voila! Great deal on a computer.

This. I did a deal around Christmas doing the exact same thing, and they honored both gift cards, and let me use a credit card for the remainder of the balance! the order took 2 extra days to arrive but other than that, I have had absolutely no complaints!

I just 'tried' to buy an egift card and it asks for Cc # to purchase?!
Thanks.
also, can they enforce that expiry date? I though in California gift cards can't expire?!
edit: if you look up terms:You may not use an eGift Card to purchase other eGift Cards.

Correct, maximum is two gift card you can use combine with Dell prefer card or Credit card. I had about 15 promote egift card for $200 each, they won't let me use more then two egift card to pay for $1200 order. Dell just getting suck period, from order to billing is a night mare, they give you different answer, the only thin I found out it still good about them was technical support for Dell profrofessional line PC, the rest of them just wasted dump wait to be wash off

You have to buy a physical gift card to be mailed not another eGift Card. I think the offer ends April 3rd at 7:00 AM EST.
CreveCoeur said: Can you use a coupon code with the two e-giftcards? I was told by Dell through chat, that the egift card and e promotion gift cards do not apply as discounts and a coupon code can still be used. specifically i asked about the codes on their coupon page.
