Framesdirect support system needs work but good glasses...
I spent over 2 weeks with back and forth phone calls to a rep at framesdirect - after paying for priority shipping. Once I placed my order, apparently the needed to confirm some details on the order. So they emailed me and called me - great - thats what I expect. However, after I emailed and called 5 times (the rep was always busy), they still needed more from me. This postponed my order by about 2 weeks after all is said and done. Because the email wasn't clear on what they needed from me, I have to email twice and call - insisting to speak with ANY representative rather than wait for my assigned rep to become available. This finally solved the delays. I spoke to a rep who took care of business. However, all this could have been avoided if their system would ensure that if I called - I got a voice who would solve the issue immediately. Playing phone tag and email tag is not good service - time is money. But like I said, great glasses...
Terrrrible wait time!
I have loved both pair of glasses I bought from this company, but the wait time to have them made is very long. The amount of time it takes to "ship" the item is longer. I ordered this current pair of glasses on 12/30/2010 and it is not 1/21/2011 and I have not received them. According to the tracking info, they are somewhere in TX, not even the right state! I ordered a backup pair from another company AFTER this order and received them, didn't like them and exchanged them AND received the replacement pair all before this set has gotten here!!! Too, too long to wait when competitors take less than half the time for the same price! I hate to see how long an exchange will take if I don't like them.
