Ok, first of all, the quality on most of the tools HF sells are not up the quality of Craftsman, Armstrong, or Snap-On. But the point is, for 90% of us amateurs they are quite adequate. And they are SO much less expensive !

If you are really fortunate, you have a HF near you. Every week they publish dozens of Online Coupons that bring the already low prices right down to the floor. But for even better deals, buy Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Maxim, or Fishing magazines for the ads which have even better Coupons.

And join their Insider Club ! More coupons - I just bought a Welder with an Insider Coupon that more than paid for my entire year's Membership.

I have many tools that I bought 20 or 30 years ago. And I paid more for them then than I can buy them at HF now !

I am a inside-trac member (which you buy a yearly membership and then you recieve early acess to sales-special super coupons just for members and they are good onesanywhere from 20-90% off) They back up their items quite well even a lifetime warranty on handtools!!! Where they seemj to be lacking is customer service about 30% of the time and the web site has a problem accepting coupons not the super coupons but like the ones that are in every sunday paper for 20% off 1 item and the free item with purchase of which wouylkd't work today but they had a promo on site for 20%off 1 item. As far as customer service goes I only mention this as its been going on for a few months now and I am tired of dealing with it and even though I did every thing for them they do not call you when they say hey will and/or e-mail when they say!!! In this instance they exspect you to take theire word that situation was corrected -properly-when it wasn't ect.. My advice would be to print a copy of your orders and if they lose : misplace your order even if you had great coupoins valid at the time do not let them attempt to get it right as it its a mess!!! other then its a great site with excellant items and pricing.
