Indestructible I'll be the judge of that I break just about everything I touch. Good deal though plus it even comes with the batteries

According to this site  it's a pretty good flashlight. Think I'll pick one up.

LOL...you and my 33 yr old son....I'll let him have it for a day and we'll see!

Got many LED torches already, but the rubber shock absorber looks cool. Tempting...

Good deal, thanks. The 100 lumens is low for a AA, but this seems to give more light than 100 lumens. Users give this 4.3 stars our of 5, but the same item in black gets 4.6/5 and is currently $15. On other sites, people recommend this when it is priced at $20.

I like how it is camouflage, so when I drop it, I'll never be able to find it.

Picked one up at lunch, it's nice and solid, throws a nice amount of light, good deal. Included batteries are alkaline, many lights only come with heavy duty. Going straight into my fishing bag, thanks OP.

Yes it is/was, read the OP.  This deal also applies to purchasing online and picking up in-store.  The online price is $10.  The reference to "B&M Only" in the title refers to where it is available, i.e. not available for shipping.

I just purchased 2 on-line and got confirmation to pick them up from my local store for $3.98 each.

Like I said, not $4 online for me...still $10 (even through checkout).  Good deal for you.

Still $10.00 for me also online.

Picked up one today. Funny it has on/off modes only while the description mentions power saving mode. Kinda like the way actually.

Ordered online at $10 and it got cancelled.

Went to store anyways and went to flashlight section. Couldn't find it. Pulled up Home Depot mobile page and selected my store and it showed exactly what aisle to find it. Flashlight area was aisle 11 while it was at aisle 14. So if you can't find it check the mobile site for assistance. Got it for $4

Thanks. The web site said my local store had five camouflage models at $10. I went to the store and the five were black and $15 each. But I checked the web site now and the camo model is $4. A different store shows they had 15 so I bought online for free in-store pickup. Great deal, thanks OP,

Now to see if my order is good or not. Anybody know the original price of these before they went on sale? Seems like when I click on the link  on the 22nd that they were $19.99 but I'm not sure.

rated:
Confirmed. Went to the store they were now $4.00. Returned the 2 I purchased for $10 each and re-purchased them @ $4.00... Sweet...

What is the difference between the 2xAA black one and the camo one, if any, in terms of performance or battery life?

The black and the camo lights have the same specs. The camo one is now $3.98 at HD and the black one $15. On Amazon, the black one is $24.52. Many sites sell these for $20-30.

I ordered 2 camo's @ $4 per for store pick-up. Not in stock and the order was canceled but was offered 2 black ones at the same price. That sealed the deal. Thanks OP

Thanks for post.
Ordered 4 camo, but HD called to cancel b/c OOS.
I asked about black version & HD said they would
make good for same price.

rated:
Yes, on Jan. 22, HD site said these were originally $19.99 or $19 but now $10.  Then sometime Jan. 23 it changed to be $4 and originally $10.  Seems like they would want to say originally $19 to sound like a better deal.

In stores near me, the camo one is $3.98 in stores, but OOS and the black one is still $15.

Great that they gave you the black one for $4.

Excellent! It will go great with the camo coffee mugs from se ars. The only left to get is a camo wallet....then I will be all jammed up and jelly tight. Tactical that is......

I managed to pick up the last 5 at my local HD. Thanks for a great deal.

They're just...okay.

Honestly, they are decently bright, but not spectacularly so. Then again, they're rated st 100 lumens, and they probably put out 85 lumens+ on the batteries they come with.

The brightness is not the issue with these, though, but the fact that there are a lot of artifacts at the hot spot, the light beam pattern is not well defined nor smooth, and there is a relatively pronounced cutoff between the brighter portion of the beam and the outer ring in terms of intensity.

These neither appear to be great throwers nor smooth "floody" lights, IOW.

I have a single AA Tactical Energizer flashlight (got it at Target on clearance) with a Rebel LED a d a smooth orange peel reflector, and while not quite as bright as the Rayovac, it has a very smooth, floody light pattern that is broader, and much less "blotchy."

For $4 these are keepers if only because they are decently bright on regular AA batteries, especially if they achieve even 60% of their stated run time on low and high mode.

The best torches I've seen at HD thus far, by a country mile (which they can illuminate easily), are the 3xC 500 Lumens Defiants that were sold around Xmas time in 2012 and the follow up 550 Lumen ones). I have two of the new 650 Defiants (3xD) waiting for me still at online pickup and can't wait to give those a try.
