I would like to give ZERO star for its terrible service!

Never ever use hotwire again!!!

I booked on hotwire to get one night of stay. The order was confirmed and I was charged. However, when I arrived the hotel, there was NO ROOM!

Spent 1 hour on phone with hotwire but they admit that their system had problem and kept booking the same overflown hotel. They failed to book any room to me and asked me to find a hotel of similar level. They said they would refund the charge of my order as well as reimburse my hotel stay because it is their fault.

However, after my stay, I spent the whole week to communicate with them on the refund and reimbursement. Nothing has happened and a new customer representative doesn't even honor what they promised before!

The charge is still not refunded and not to mention the reimbursement! Terrible terrible company. I am going to report its bad service to BBB very soon.

To Fatwallet: please publish my review because it is a real experience. I have all the email communication and order numbers to prove what has happended.

Infuriating Customer Service

Had a couple separate occurrences of really bad customer service. I found that it wasn't worth it and that there were better places to get a similar price.

Hotwire's "Hot Rate" saved me $15.00 instantly

First time I've used Hotwire to book a hotel. Picked my hotel and was ready to book, when I noticed the "Hot Rate" special offer at a "secret hotel". I read about the 3 star secret hotel and it sounded very much like the hotel I had already decided to book. I made the decision to take a chance, booked the room, and found out that it was the same hotel, at a rate that saved me around $15.00. I'm sold on Hotwire and it's Secret Hotel Sale.

No Cashback - Never buy from them.

Although I made sure that I clicked on cashback link and then went to the hotwire site, they never reported the cash back and also support ticket was closed stating I used some other source. This is outright incorrect. Hotwire is trying to avoid crediting cash back. Shame on them. I recommend using priceline or orbitz which notifies and credits cashback in timely manner.

Hyatt Place Atlanta airport

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to stay near Atlanta airport. Their rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was great.

I was buying 4 airline tickets. I thought, hotwire was having a cash back sale, with 3% cash back, that's like $100 cash back. Nope. I was wrong. 3% cash back is on purchase of things other than tickets. They give only $1.4 cash back on each ticket. If you wanna take advantage of the cash back, go for Priceline instead. BTW, you have to scroll all the way down, after all the ads, to see the conditions.

No issues with hotels or cars

I haven't needed to contact their customer service about anything so I won't review that. I have booked cars and hotels through them at least a dozen times without issue. No issues with Cash Back either. I will note I only use the hotel booking when I'm fairly certain I know what hotel I'll get or the town is small and I know all the hotels are ok.
