Well for one thing, the drill bits are only for a drill. An impact drill bit would be set in a hexagon shaped insert that locks into your impact driver, like these Ridgid ones (on sale for $6). The other half of bits that come in this set are the standard silver coloring, as opposed to black which Dewalt is the color of all the Dewalt impact bits/drivers I've ever seen sold. There is also no writing on the interior insert of the bits, which if they are impact rated, the manufacturer usually wants it to be known.
if you look at this 100 piece "impact" kit at Lowes, you can see what I mean. I guess there is no writing on the black bits box, but those if any, would be the only impact rated ones in this particular kit. Typically, the black bits are impact rated. Makita makes ones that are gold in color iirc, but in general black (Milwaukee, Dewalt, Craftsman)
Picked mine up this morning and ran out of the store without really looking. Just looked at packaging and nowhere does it say impact on the packaging. Guess they'll be going back as I have plenty of standard bits.
