thanks....needed a new fix.

Lowes has me addicted.

I don't get the distinction between 25.00 off of 250.00 and 10% off.....

10% off is for major appliances $399 or more

  Basic math.

$25 off $250 incentives the customer to spend at least $250, and limits the discount to $25.  Spend $500 and you say 5%, not 10%.

10% off, unless it has a limit, could save you a great deal more - and may have lower/no minimums.

yes....10% off of 250.00 is 25.00    that is what I was trying to say.   10% is 10%.....unless its limited to a max of 249.99

...but you are right, individually they may attract a different buyer, but side by side the 25.00 off is extraneous.

It depends on how much you purchase:
a) exactly $250 - the coupons are identical
b) less than $250 - the $25/250 is better
c) more than $250 - the 10% off is better
(assuming no additional restrictions or caps)

You need to update the title to show coupons codes. Coupons are not the same as coupon codes.

Same question here.  I'd like to piggyback this onto my AMEX 15 off 75 offer over at the Depot.

Ummm, if you don't hit $250 the $25 off coupon is worthless, and use the 10% coupon instead
So unless you are right at the $250 mark, use the 10% off coupon.

You are, of course, correct - reading my own post, I don't even know what I was thinking about.

DOH - Wish I saw this yesterday - I placed a $500 order for fans. The fans were 20% off, this would have certainly sweetened the deal!!! Fan sale is over now though.....

oh well!

Just bought a new house, so, of course, Lowes is nickel-and-diming me on crap I need for the house.  This string of $10/50's is helping me to nickel-and-dime them right back.

You could always try to see if they'd apply it to your order!  All they can say is no!

rated:
10% would not apply to 2 appliances in my cart (appliances are on sale at 10% off through today).     I did apply to a few piddly items also in cart.

Awesome...picked up some briquettes, hardwood chunks, and lump charcoal....it's smoking time!! Gonna do 3 racks of ribs and a turkey breast this weekend. Can't beat ~20% off for $50 worth in my cart. Got a good haul.

You'd be hard pressed to find any natural briquettes better than Stubbs. I don't buy the blue bags any more and this is only ~$0.10 more/lb than the blue bag: http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&langId=-1&pr...

And if you're wanting your fire a little hotter, then this is a pretty decent lump charcoal: http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?partNumber=361265-34228-FT.L...

$10 off $50 is awesome. Last week they had Miracle Grow garden soil on sale for $2.50 (normally $4.97!). Picked up 40 bags using two $50 orders so got them for $2 a bag. The garden center manager helped load it and couldn't believe I was putting 40 bags in my car - loooooowridin'. Anyway, he said they were probably paying me to take it. MUSIC to my ears. Today I'm ordering retaining wall blocks ($50 at a time). If you have things you can break into $50 chunks there doesn't appear to be anything preventing multiple orders at 20% off.

rated:
I was asked why I had 18 in store pick up orders today. "Was the website having a problem"? Uhhhh, yeah.

Thanks OP!

rated:
Weird....$10 code is showing $9.99 off of my order. Tried to log in and place the order and it keeps dumping my cart and making me start over. After 2 times I checked out as a guest. Code maybe restricted to 1 use per account? Guess the answer is guest checkout.

47000LOWES2836S  did not work for me either, they're already on sale.  So it took $10 off! ahhah what a laugh.

Don't forget your favorite portal points when ordering online. Chase 5x UR comes to mind.

Used it for a storage shed yesterday 6/8/14.

2.25% CashBack through FW
5% CashBack thru Discovercard
and used one of those giftcards purchased $90 equals $100 value. Wish I had more then 1.

Those ALL aided in the decision process to BUY.

Every little bit helps. Broke one order of $100 into two of $50. Chase 5x portal points plus paid with gc's already obtained at a discount.

The 10 off 50 worked for me twice on Saturday and twice today. I just tried another order for morning pickup and it's telling me the promotion is not valid at this time...
