Char-Broil Big Easy Turkey Fryer is now $79.99 on Clearance at Meijier, this is the lowest price I can find on this model online. Since it is CyberWeek Free Shipping is included! Meijier said: Char-Broil's TRU-Infrared oil-less turkey fryer is the safe and healthier way to fry your turkey. Prepare your turkey with the same injectable marinade you already use, or use seasoned rubs on the outside, which is not an option with traditional fryers. Cooks a turkey from start-to-finish just as quickly as oil-frying without the messy clean-up.The infrared heat circles the cooker to penetrate the meat evenly and seal in juices. The result is a bird that's moist inside and crispy outside but without the risk, hassle or added fat and calories of oil. Safely cook a turkey (up to 16 lbs.) or chicken in about 8 to 10 minutes per pound - no waiting for the oil to heat up. Roasts most other large cuts of meat cook for slightly longer.
Home Depot has the Big Easy at B&M for same price. That said, this thing is friggin awesome. I cooked two birds in it for Thanksgiving and they were incredible, not to mention, I've never had such an easy experience cooking a turkey. Truly a great product. YouTube has some vids of people cooking ribs, hams, wings in this thing as well.
I got one of these on close out this past summer at Home Depot for $35. Frankly I was pretty skeptical and intended it as a gift for a friend. WOW. It has been great. He's cooked 2 turkeys, several chickens, and a couple of pork picnic's in it since I gave it to him in September. I borrowed it and cooked a turkey over thanks giving with it as well. For those who love their fried turkey, you might find this lacking. While the meat is incredibly tender and the skin is crisp, it's not quite as crisp as a true deep fried bird. BUT . . . I didn't spend $50 on oil and there is little risk of making your own Youtube video of a ball of fire if the oil over flows and hits the burner
My regret is that I didn't buy one for myself. I'm tempted to buy this now, but I still have my friends in my garage right now. I couldn't probably borrow it when ever I want.
I also got one of these at Lowes ,close out/ clearance priced at $35.00 .Works great ,no cost or mess of all the oil ,just propane. My only concern is the unit is small and if you have pets or kids around you need to make sure they cannot get near it as it is very hot.Very satisfied with this item.
