My daughter did a science fair project that needed helium. Be prepared to spend more then the toy costs for the helium. If you shop around you can get the small party size tank for $23-25 but some places are as high as $40.

this is pretty neat. thumbs up !!

where to find cheap portable helium tank? My daughter has this toy, party store Zurchers costs $7 to fill one balloon.

In Northern California - we have a party store called Party City and their tanks usually cost about $20. If there is a Costco store near you, they should have it as well.

Or you can go to your local grocery store and get it filled for $3 - $5. (The stores that you buy balloons in the package and take it to customer service to have them filled. Just tell them you need an existing balloon filled and they usually charge you the "large balloon" price.)

hmm... never asked them to fill a non-store balloon, but Dollar-Tree would probably do it for $1 or $2

Choking Hazard: Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

Choking Hazard: Children under 8 years can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflated balloons from children. Discard broken balloon at once.
