A few things to note with this printer.

- The fan will run for 10 minutes after the last print has finished. I have not been able to find a way to reduce this and it is a little annoying. The Dell color LED printer I have shuts off after 5.

- The drum is separate and is said to last 12,000 pages before you have to replace it. The cost of the OEM one is over the price of this unit. Not sure if the aftermarket ones will be as good as the OEM.

In the past, I have bought the non-wireless/non-duplex Brother units at < $50 to use for cost-effective drum replacements, and just thrown out the actual unit.  I don't have this unit but figure they are probably still producing them all with interchangeable parts.

i order an aftermarket drum for 15 $ and it worked fine.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if the fans on any of the Brother printer's fan shut off immediately after the printing is complete? Not sure what this is called by my old LaserJet does this and I would like a printer that does that.

Can you refer to OEM drum of $15?
Thanks
