The reviews aren't the greatest. Apparently sound volume is a problem and a slow startup is mentioned by most. Picture quality seems ok. But really, the Dell Samsung deals would be much better.

not sure why all of the a sudden these changhongs keep getting posted, they are junk. I think people just want to post anything on sale. Just as you said, if you just look around, you can get a quality TV for not too much more and you will be happy with it.

You may not know but Changhong is one of the biggest OEMs for household electric equipments, perhaps the TV or the monitor you are watching now was manufactured in its factory. It's all about the price, you get what you paid for.

Can get a better TV for a better price. You get what you pay for. I have a brand new 32'' Vizio and got it for $250. All depends what you're willing to put in.

They probably are a major player in China, and god knows everything is made there, but the reviews from actual owners are pretty weak for this. Granted, it is $150 w/rebate, but the Samsung Dell deals have been below that when including their Gift Certificates. When I threw in the Dell Advantage 5% and Upromise CashBack, my end total for a well-reviewed 32" Samsung last year was less than this deal. And I think the most recent Dell deal, which may still be going, is right at this price point.

Okay, fine, we don't know Changhong. Apparently, they are all that and a bag of chips. So now we know.

But we do know Samsung and LG and Panasonic, etc. And we don't blindly buy just any model put out by them. We go with specs and reviews and price and all that. We do our research before we plonk our money down.

While Changhong may indeed manufacture some good stuff, this ain't it. I, too, would rather go with the quality deal offered by Dell, even if that means getting my money stuck in an endless cycle of purchases. Or for a few $$ more, go with one of the other numerous top-notch deals.
