I saw one of these in person yesterday at a customers home. The picture was pretty good, overall it seemed to be higher quality than I expected. It isn't a Samsung or LG, but I think I will take a chance on one for my daughters room instead of the 40" set I was about to buy.

Tempted to grab this as the tv for our basement "gameroom". Already have a nice Samsung in the livingroom and we aren't super picky. Thoughts?

This T.V. is totally worth it!

We bought it the last time it went on sale for this price (+ 5 bonus HDMI cables in a combo; not sure if this is still available) and use it as our primary T.V.

The screen is crystal clear, the sound is great, the base is glass (we have ours mounted however), remote is semi cheap, but sleek, shipped to our house within a week.

Overall, there is no way you could find more bang for the buck! I was highly hesitant at the "Changhong" brand name, but couldn't be more happy with my purchase. Go for it!

P.S. Don't make the mistake I did and pay via Paypal because FATWALLET will not honor the Cash Back for this purchase.
Enjoy your awesome T.V. Also note, low reviews are complaints of receiving broken T.V. which Newegg will replace for you after making claim with delivering company, nothing to do with the T.V.

Just a headsup ... If you read the customer reviews, I think you'll find that a few customers report that this TV is not good for gaming.  I researched the heck outta customer reviews on this TV last time it was at this sale price.  They mostly said it is excellent for for sports, and good for HD programming, but not good for gaming.

Works great with my PS3  where we (currently) play mostly Call of Duty Ghosts online, Bioshock Infinity and GTA5 screen is crystal.

Probably has to do with response time or whatever. Crap I never notice outside of rhythm games.

Damn you people for making me worried about using this for gaming.  Is it really that bad?

All I can say is that I personally use it for gaming and Blueray movie watching primarily (we have no cable, just antenna T.V.) and I never see any "lag" during movies or gaming. Even the antenna channels come out looking good (except when there is interference for the antenna which has nothing to do with the T.V). You may notice that it is not Samsung quality, but there is no lag, grainy look, bad colors, or anything negative that I can say about it. For $400 it's more than you can ask for.

I love actual owners. Thanks for hanging out on this thread. I am looking for an inexpensive LED for over my pool table. I am concerned about viewing angles since people will be moving around and motion blur since we'll be watching sports. Can you make my reservations go away?

Well I have a very narrow living room and a three person couch directly across from it (maybe 8 to 10 ft away). On the occasion I'll sit on an ottoman that is off to the side of the coffee table to watch T.V.  I never have had any issues with the viewing angle (but then again I am probably within 5 to 6 ft away from the T.V. on the ottoman).
Honestly, I don't watch a lot of sports so I'm probably not the best person to comment on the quality of a football game, but on the occasion that I have caught a game or two I didn't notice anything of poor quality. That being said I don't generally have my eyes glued to the screen for games either.

I hope this helps.

Bought this TV right before Superbowl, and we have been very happy with it. I chuckle every time I turn it on though - cause the screen says "Changhong, creating easy life"  So far, so good.
