This seems like a great deal on a gold PS but I have a question ... how usefull would this PS be in a gaming machine? The PS is only rated for a bit over 400W. I've read a number of system building articles which seem to gravitate towards the 600W output level for even moderate gaming rigs. I ask because I am planning to build a Haswell i5 machine with a cheaper ($100) video card.
Also, consider the rebate on this item. I don't know about others but my experience with NE rebates is only fair at best. I am still waiting for a rebate for a SSD that I purchased almost two months ago. I am less impressed by NE with each purchase I make.

Looking at the rebate form it's pretty clear that Corsair is processing this one. However, I've never had an issue with rebates for any item bought through Newegg through almost 15 years. In fact, the one time that the manufacturer denied my rebate Newegg credited me for the amount, and said they'd go after it themselves (of course, that company was notorious for denying rebates).
