seems like it doesn't support some video formats, especially 'avi', does not load all videos from USB, and the picture is slightly blue... all of which can be overlooked given the price.

In for one, thanks OP!

Are the MIRs reliable?

rated:
I have the 40" version and I am plesantly surprised at the picture quality. I am currently using it as an additional monitor to view vidoes played from my computer. The reviews about the picture being a bit blue are quite correct, but it can be toned down with some tweaking. For the money it cannot be beat. I have heard of some failures, but mine hasn't let me down and it is about a year old.

Just for comparison my main tv is a PN58C7000, which is a really good sammy plasma and I am pleased with the HiSense.
