Ha. Now shows $59.99 at Newegg using the promo code "EMCPEPW77" from their "email specials".

Keep it dropping!

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm gonna update my post!

Not very good reviews, fyi

An egg reviewer said they have stopped firmware updates...

If only tomato or dd-wrt was supported.

Netgear's consumer products has pretty gone downhill. I remember the WGR614 was one of the best until they ended having 15 gazillion versions.

In need of a router so yes or no?

in for one. read some reviews. looks neato? drive bay and gigabit switch/no tax from new egg.

My biggest concern would be the harddrive overheating. I don't see a fan and ventilation doesn't look too good on the product.

aren't we suppose to boycott netgear b/c of their bs attitude suing everyone for 'un'authorized reselling of their equipment?

I've used this router for a while and works great. Very fast! I paid $200 for it a while back and it felt like it was worth the money, but my old router was years old and died, so maybe that's why.

I can't tell if this is V1 or V2. Apparently DD-WRT works on the V1 but is unsupported on the V2, which means I could never install DD-WRT.

Spent $20 more, get TP-LINK Archer C7 v2 AC1750 at Newegg, $79.99 Free Shipping after Coupon Code: "EMCPEPW37" (Exp 5/7)

just what i needed this week. thanks!

~~Don't support Netgear, they're suing a fatwallet member for reselling a few routers below market value!
