$16.64 / 1600 pts = 0.0101 cents per point 16.75% savings

$12.74 / 1200 its = 0.0106 cents per point 15.01% savings

The 1600 pts is a slightly better deal, but not by much. Both are just over 1 cent per point.

vmepromo is one use only at Newegg..already used in on the 12 month

Also, this is about $1 per 100 points... Virtua Fighter 2 is 160 points this week... Not a bad way to spend $1.60 old school...

Just paid full price for a 1200 2 days ago-- hey- 11 year old son cant wait- he pays!

rated:

Thanks OP, grabbed the 1600 points. My son had been asking for Minecraft recently.

How long does it usually take for them to email the code?

rated:

I got a cancellation about 12 hours later. Paid with PayPal. Purchased the 1200 points (first time ever). My payment is still showing as "reserved" for Newegg, with no explanation other than "order was voided because credit card couldn't be verified", despite paying with a PayPal balance. Weird...

rated:

Check you card on your PayPal account. If you recently setup and added card they may be having an issue. They report the error to Newegg and Newegg sends the error to you as is.

My 11 yr old son wants to buy a XBox 360. What is the latest and greatest? We're not going to invest any more on the old WII. I don't know much about XBox live, Can you buy physical games with the points? TIA

rated:

No. Game discs need to be brought from retailers {online or brick and mortar stores}. You can only use points on downloadable games, DLC, Avatar stuff and some Games on demand {these cant be resold}.
