I need an suit. Good place to buy @ Nordstrom or Men's warehouse?

Men's Wearhouse is for the masses. Nordstrom carries classy stuff. Brooks Brothers is the best.
Cheapest, and good value, is Jos A Bank.

@cr3s: For suits, know your size and fit.  Check out the selection of Hickey Freeman suits for $490 at LastCall.com (the Neiman Marcus outlet).  Hickey Freeman is a classic brand that has changed hands a couple of times over the past decade, but still makes good quality suits. [Oxxford is the premier American off-the-rack suit company, but Hickey Freeman suits offer good quality for far less money when you find them on clearance -- the Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece line is also good. If you desire a European fit, that's another post altogether, but Kiton and Brioni are top brands to provide examples of quality fabric and construction.]  Hickey Freeman has several different fits, but most are traditional American.  It does make several cheaper lines (Hickey, Hickey Ltd, Milburn and Lindsey) that sometimes are available via Sierra Trading Post, Men's Warehouse and The Rack, but those are half-canvassed and not as well-constructed.  If you can't find what you want in a quality suit for <$550 , educate yourself on the marks of a high-quality suit and consider having one custom made (SuitSupply offers good quality suits around that price, but custom fit is far more comfortable).  If you aren't traveling to the Pacific Rim, many Hong Kong tailors have traveling sales people that you can meet in a hotel room of a major city (sounds a bit odd, but it is a good process).  They will measure you, you pick fabrics and specify niceties such as working sleeve buttons, hidden waist pockets and jacket interior pockets (which can be custom fit to your phone, concealed handgun, or whatever else you carry), and the sales guy can make recommendations on a good look for you.  There are also several places where you can order custom suits online, but I've not tried them and don't want to hijack this thread.
