Our experience with the Leapster 2 is that the kids, who were age appropriate for it, played with it for a couple days and never touched it again.  The games were slow, often didn't work, and the thing felt cheap.  Plus, games are fairly expensive when compared with apps on today's tablets.  $30 is the max a person should spend on one of these, but for us it was a waste of money.  just my two cents.

So basically what you're saying is skip this for my 3 year old son even though he loves Toy Story?  Appreciate the advice.
