brings back some good old memories dating back to 1994. Started out with some Lightning TRS, then to Tarmac, then Oxygen. My friend found a pair of pretty much brand new Roces Majestic 12 skates and gave those to me not too long ago. Equipment has changed a lot since then and the kids are doing harder and harder tricks!

These skates are made specifically for "aggressive in-line skaters".  Nowadays, the kids call themselves "rollers".  These type of skates are made to jump on rails, and grind curbs, etc (see the gap between the 2 middle wheel?  Also, the wheels are on a rocker system, the 2 middle wheels are smaller and don't even touch the floor = old school trick!) If you're just looking for some skates to skate around, these wouldn't be the kind of skates to get.

I haven't seen anyone rollerblading on the street or at the skatepark for years. I'm kind of shocked by how completely it seems to have died.
