If you check your SYW rewards, you may have a $5 for spending $0.01 reward that you can use towards this purchase. Kmart/Sears randomly gives surprise rewards out all the time, sometimes for spending nothing (free money). And you wonder why SHLD stock is in the toilet.

Is that like a Multimeter?

No, the intent is to attach leads (included in package) to your battery and then plug the battery tender into that and the battery tender into the wall.  The battery tender monitors the voltage of your battery and if it drops, adds a slight charge to it.  I've got the junior and it works well.  I've got a '72 bug that only gets driven occasionally (summer only) and shorter distances (not a whole lot of driving time to recharge the battery). It's much easier than disconnecting the battery for me because the battery is underneath the back seat and not really easy to get to, so I ran the pig tail out from the battery and now I can easily plug it in to keep it charged without having to lift up the back seat.  The junior does not have temperature sensing, so come winter time, I pull the battery, bring it inside and stick the junior on it to maintain it.

Yes.  There are two ways to attach the leads to the battery (both come in the package).  The first is the alligator clips (think booster cables) the second is the ring style that's meant to permanently attach to the battery and have the pigtail hang off of it.  The tender then plugs into that tail.  Good for any 12 volt battery that doesn't get used enough to recharge it on its own.  There's lights on the charger that indicate the state of charge.  Red is that its either first plugged in and analyzing the battery, or its charging at full charge.  Flashing Red means the battery's almost full and is charging at a reduced rate.  Green is fully charged and the Battery Tender will "keep an eye on it" and charge it as needed.

Also, there is a slightly more expensive "California" version that is required in that state. Something about the amount of electricity that it uses to monitor the battery, I think the Cali version uses slightly less and might not be included in this deal so if you're ordering from there it might not work.

I use one of these for my wife's scooter during the winter when she doesn't ride it.  Keeps the battery healthy.  Great product.

Did you know that you CANNOT cancel an order from Sears online that is shipped to home? I ordered this charger with points but didn't use the right amount for extra points back so I tried to cancel within 15 minutes of ordering. I did a chat and called Sears and there is no way to cancel an order shipped to the home. I have to wait a week and refuse delivery then wait two or three weeks for a refund and my points back. By then the points will have expired and the coupon I tried to use will be expired. It's my fault for not doing it right the first time but you can cancel an order almost everywhere before it ships, not Sears

What was happening with the link for you?  This is my first time being able to try it since this morning, but it's working normally for me.
