I have no experience with this set but even if have a full size set you would be surprised how useful it is to have a smaller set, especially with the power and shelf life you get with the Lithium-Ion ones. At the very least it is often helpful to have an extra tool instead of switching bits. In addition if you are in cold climates Li-Ion ones tend to do a lot better which is nice.

i have bought some of this stuff and i find the batteries dying quickly when not in use. have not put them under test of actual heavy usage yet. i want the impact but i already have 2 drills!

These (Nextec 12V) tools are "finesse" tools. I have 4 or 5 of the various models and use them for removing small bolts when working on my truck (10-12mm using the right-angle impact) and for installing doorframes where my 18V DeWalt set has too much torque.

I really like these tools but the price is a little higher than I have paid in th epast. I picked up the right angle impact and drill for $45 I believe about a year ago. Sears typicall has huge sale on these tools around holidays (especially Thanksgiving/Christmas).

I highly recommend most of them ... but perhaps when they go on deep discount.
