You don't get replacements on those if they break, and these are not nearly as nice as the Klein Linesman in my toolbox but they are good enough to give to my brother.

That was my thought exactly. When doing electrical work I only use Kleins Linesman pliers, but I don't feel like paying $60+ for a backup pair. If I end up hating them I can always use them for cutting guitar strings and thick wires.
No offense to Sears.. But adding $0.80 cents to a $4 set of pliers doesn't quite grab my attention. Get this to $5-$6 and I may buy one... or 3 for $16. Seriously, I just bought a 10 pack of 6 LED mini-flashlights for $0.80c each on eBay for $8 with free shipping. They can do better.

People don't seem to understand that today. New designs cost money, and lots of it. This is an 95% new design, only shared parts would be the handle boots. The LED's are cast into a metal assembly and not some junk chinese flashlight.
And believe it or not most craftsman tools are still made in the US.

Your point is... somewhere.
What are you proposing -- tape a mini to your pliers every time you need illumination?
