eBillMe takes a turn for the worse!
This company used to be known as eBillMe until they were purchased and rebranded as WU Pay (a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Union). I've dealt with eBillMe in the past and they were decent enough to deal with. The one thing that impressed me is that their live chat was available every time I neede to ask a question, and they always knew the answer.
That experieince with eBillMe was erased after my first actual interaction with it as WU Pay. I placed an order for an e-Gift card on a Monday. I used a new bank account (from the one I previously had on file with them) to submit payment. To this point, everything was similar to my dealings with eBillMe. That's where the similarities end. On Wednesday, a full day after my payment was sent (and reflected as such at my bank) I contacted WU Pay via live chat to see if I'd get my gift card soon (after all, it's electronic, how long can it take?). I was told they just needed to contact my bank to verify things and I should expect it to be done by the end of the day. By Thursday I hadn't received the gift card and had no communication from them either. So I tried to do another live chat - it wasn't available (midday on a business day) so I was forced to use their web form for an email response. It wasn't until 8 AM on Friday that I received a response saying they needed now to contact ME to verify the account and then I'd be good. Per their request I replied with my landline number and a time to call. By midday Friday I was thinking they'd not initiate contact the same day so I again tried live chat. The rep told me, shockingly, that my payment was refused and refunded. I asked why, and immediately checked my bank account. NO refund! When pressed, he admitted that the payment would not be sent until 2:30 AM the next day and would take 1-3 business days to reach my bank. NO indication why it was refused other than that it "did not pass security and they could not accept the payment". He told me to "inquire with the bank". Mind you, this is a bank who I've used before with eBillMe, albeit with a different account, in the past with no issues. WU Pay refuse to provide me with any information to help me figure it out and it's 9 days after the order before I get a refund! The one helpful thing the rep did tell me is that I could go to a walk-in location (any Western Union location) and submit a payment there. For a fee, of course! Frustrating, aggrevating, insulting and confusing. I plan to stay far away from this company in the future. They're slow, communicate poorly and their customer service is a far cry from their eBillMe past. Sad, because they used to be a decent, albeit niche, company to deal with. 5 stars
Great way to avoid paying with my credit card
I just found eBillme and really like it. Using my credit card online always freaks me out (call me old fashioned) so being able to pay with my online banking is a good alternative. They also have good cash back deals. You just have to be careful and read the fine print, some offers are for first time users and others are for everyone. Otherwise it's a another great way to feed my cash back addiction!

terrible terrible customer service
No one in this organization seems to have a clue as to how important people's money is to them. I had placed an order for an ebillme merchant in august but never went through with the transaction since I found the product cheaper at a local store. Fast forward 4 months and I accidentally sent them a payment from my checking account (thinking it was to billmelater) and now they have no clue what to do. The money was apparently forwarded to the merchant, but the merchant does not even work with them anymore...no one at ebillme says "i'll make sure you get it back". they acknowledge they got the money but now seem clueless...never again
