8 Fashion Finds for this Fall!

Thankfully, the summer heat is coming to a close, and the fall brisk air is starting to swoop in. These weather changes only mean one thing – a change in wardrobe. I don’t know about you, but I love fall weather clothes. It just reminds me of wearing a big comfy sweater and drinking a pumpkin spice latte (ahh heaven). So how do you make this transaction without looking like a 1987 JC Penney catalogue ad? Yes, I’m talking about that ugly big sweater with leaves and pumpkins on it. Please, put it away. Better yet, burn it.

Lucky for all you FatWallet readers, I browsed some fashion websites and put together eight must have’s for this Fall. These pieces will certainly not put a dent in your wallet, and you can use them over and over. So what are you waiting for, lets go shopping!

For the Weekend:

Steve Madden Intyce Leather Boots – $149.95

Who wouldn’t love these? These are real leather, and an awesome brown color. The thing with boots is that they never go out of fashion. These are durable, and will stay with you for many seasons. I bought the knock-off version of these at Target last season, and they are already falling apart. Poor decision on my part.

J.Crew Stripe Hoodie – $78.00

Nothing feels as good as putting on a big, comfy hoodie on a Saturday morning. Wether you are running errands, or having a few friends over for an outside fire – this is the perfect casual hoodie. I love the nautical theme as well. J.Crew makes great pieces, and this cotton pull-over will certainly keep you stylish and comfortable.

Gap Fitted Boyfriend Ruffled Shirt – $54.95

I am a sucker for big denim shirts. They remind me of my “art shirt” in 5th grade, lol. However, they are making a big comeback in the fashion world. This gem from Gap is so cute, and I love the ruffles on the collar. It’s fitted as well, so you can wear it on a casual night out on the town.

TOMS Womens Classic Plum Cord – $54

Either you are a fan of TOMS, or not. I have to admit that they are little different looking. However, they are super comfortable. Plus, for every pair of shoes you purchase, they will donate a pair to a child in need. This plum color is gorgeous, and the corduroy just screams fall.

For the Week:

Old Navy Women’s Striped Color-Block Jersey Dress – $24.94

It seems to me that color blocks are everywhere. I’ve seen them on ballet flats, but how adorable is it on this cotton-knit dress? You can wear this with leggings or boots to the office. It comes in lots of cute colors too – coral is my favorite!

Banana Republic Classic Belted Trench Coat – $198

How cool does this coat look? You can be the Carmen San Diego of your office haha! This is a wonderful piece for the fall. If you think the price is a little steep, think again. Banana Republic produces quality items, and this coat will never go out of fashion. Plus, the khaki color is very neutral. I bought a similar trench coat in a mustard color, and I often feel weird for wearing it because of the odd color. You can’t go wrong with this one!

Nordstrom Tasha Statement Necklace – $78

Anybody that knows me, can tell you that I’m a huge fan of big cocktail jewelry. Some women are too scared to wear big pieces, but they are a must with some outfits. I fell in love with this necklace when I saw it on Nordstrom’s website. It would go great against a black turtleneck or wrap dress. The multi-colors would really make you pop!

Express Infinity Leopard Scarf – $20.93

One accessory that I can’t get enough of is a great scarf, even better a print scarf. This leopard scarf from Express is exactly what I’m talking about. Leopard could be seen as an acquired fashion taste, but when its in scarf form – it’ll spruce up any ordinary outfit. I have a few infinity scarves from Express, and let me tell you – they are so soft. You’ll want to take a nap its so soft.
