More TouchPads to Come

Still sore about missing out on the HP TouchPad fire sale? Well after a week of refreshing Twitter, over-demand crashing HP’s auto notification site and rumors of more stock to come, HP finally announced a few hours ago there are more TouchPad on the way! Spokesperson Mark Budgell stated at HP’s The Next Bench Blog:

Despite announcing an end to manufacturing webOS hardware, we have decided to produce one last run of TouchPads to meet unfulfilled demand. We don’t know exactly when these units will be available or how many we’ll get, and we can’t promise we’ll have enough for everyone. We do know that it will be at least a few weeks before you can purchase.

Email Update

Today around 11AM, HP sent out a thank you email offering an exclusive one-time coupon for 25% off printers, ink, accessories, and PCs ($599 or more) for those who singed up for the availability notification. If you were lucky enough to pick up a TouchPad during the fire sale, you can use the one time coupon here on accessories.

How Do I Get one

You can continue to check The Next Bench Blog or BrynaatHP via Twitter for the latest updates and status of the new batch of systems. It is known however that HP Small Business is completely sold out and will not be getting more inventory, so focus your efforts to HP Home only. When they do come back in stock there will be an order limit to prevent people from buying up a bunch of units and reselling them for pretty hefty profit on Ebay, Craigslist, etc.. No other discounts or promotions can be applied with this latest fire sale, and any TouchPad purchased at the the promotion price of $99 & $149 will not be eligible for a return.

FatWallet Tip: HP offers up to 5% cash back when you shop through FatWallet. Already have a HP TouchPad? Check out the accessories on the HP Page!
