Bust out the beads and the feather eye masks, because today is Fat Tuesday and we are ready to celebrate! If you forgot the tradition of Fat Tuesday, today refers to the practice of letting yourself go, and indulging in the rich foods that you oh so love! Depending on your culture, people begin the Lenten season the following day where they stick to a strict fasting diet or give up something they love for a 40 day period.

In true Mardi Gras fashion, FatWallet is hosting our 4th annual King Cake celebration. Traditionally, the King Cake is baked with a "baby" inside. If you find the baby, you are King or Queen of the parade and blessed with good fortune. Sounds like a pretty good deal, huh? Well, the person who does find the baby is coined the "baker" for next year. So whether you have a knack for baking or not, you'll be supplying the goods.

This year, our King Cakes were made by our own Cake Boss, the lovely Sandi. Some people have already snagged a cupcake or two, but we are guessing the big baby reveal will be after lunch.

How do you or your family like to celebrate Fat Tuesday?
