Rescue Your Finances with America Saves Week

You might be saying to yourself, “What is America Saves week”? At least, that’s what I asked when I found out about it. So let me tell you: It’s basically college for adults, minus the endless bowls of ramen (unless you’re into that). There are webinars, tweet chats, and a bundle of information about saving for retirement.

America Saves Week is a time when banks, businesses, and non-profits get together to show you and other consumers the best options to help save throughout the year. The idea is to help you establish goals, as well as what’s holding you back from saving currently. Make a pledge to save!

Still confused? A description of the week from the America Saves website:

“Started in 2007, the Week is an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status. Typically thousands of organizations participate in the Week, reaching millions of people.”

Here’s a list of events you can be a part of from February 24th to March 1st. As well, you can join the 2014 America Saves 5-week challenge.
