If the last few days are any indication of what’s to come this summer, it’s going to be another HOT one! We went and bought the kids a new swimming pool and slip-n-slide this year, so they’ll stay somewhat cool on the hot days to come!
So it’s almost June which means school is out, T-ball season is in full swing, football season starts soon, summer vacations, and of course my 10 year wedding anniversary. My husband and I are celebrating with a week-long trip to Jamaica, and I can’t wait!
June is also National Dairy Month, so watch for sales on items like eggs, milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt, cream cheese, and Cool Whip.
Barbecue season is in full swing in June, so continue to watch for sales on condiments, charcoal, chips, dips, hot dogs, brats, and salad dressings. It’s also the time to stock up on paper goods like paper plates, napkins, and cups.
June is when I stock up on all my paper products for football season when we have NFL and college football parties. Last week I got napkins for 35 cents a package!
Fresh produce sales can be found on items like apricots, blackberries, cherries, corn, cucumbers, grapes, watermelon, strawberries, and honeydew. I never seem to have enough fresh produce at our house especially during the summer. I always seem to find the best prices on produce items at Aldi, but I prefer to buy my produce at a Farmer’s Market when I can.
This June, fire up the grill, get outside, and enjoy the beautiful summer weather. Get your stockpile filled with items for all your summer picnic and barbecue parties.
