Funny the person who wrote this works for an online retailer. 85% of online frames are inaccurate and often do not meet US safety standards. How well frames fit and how your eyes are centered on a lens determines how well you will see thru those glasses. Stick with your local eye doctor and you will be much happier.

Oh, please. The pot calling the kettle black. Most local optometrists are ridiculously overpriced when it comes to lenses and frames. Try Costco.

I ordered from Goggles4U, and when the glasses finally arrived, the lenses were loose in the frame and just an all-around sloppy & cheap feel. They took over three and a half weeks to be delivered, because although their 'mailing' address is Cerritos, CA, the glasses and the rest of their shipment had somehow become embroiled in a customs crisis at the Port of Wherever They Came From. The price was right, but the service and delivery sucked. I would never order from there again.

" 85% of online frames are inaccurate and often do not meet US safety standards." - Do you have a source for this? Sounds like a made up stat. And "US safety standards" - most of these online eyewear providers are US based companies - if there really ARE standards, they're likely being followed just as closely as most local providers.

I've had GREAT experiences buying glasses online. It's not difficult to grab a ruler and figure out what size frames work best. Measuring pupillary distance is easy with a pair of glasses and a dry erase marker. I've gotten 5 pair from Zenni Optical and I've still spent considerably less than what my wife has spent on her ONE pair from a local place.

walmart has $9 glasses, i used zenni lens and selectspecs and have a few pairs of glasses and sun glasses, have had them over a year now, love them both, I like the walmart glasses 3rd. online glasses cost about $20 for the full package of options, walmart was full basic.
