To Cyber Monday and Beyond!

If you overslept this morning and didn't make it to the stores in time to get the doorbusters on your list, worry not my friend!

After all the preparations, scanning ads, loading deals, and buzzing in social it feels like the shopping soiree should be coming to a close, but smart shoppers know it's only just beginning! There are a lot more fantastic frugal shopping days ahead. I'll run through them in today's post by helping you space out your holiday shopping and bargain hunting over the next few weeks!

Cyber Monday! Nov. 26, 2012

This is an easy one, you probably already know about! The Monday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday is dedicated to online shopping (our favorite kind!) Expect merchants to have deals as hot as the ones on Black Friday for their online stores!

According to our 2012 Cyber Monday Shopping Survey 62% of people expect to find the best deals of the holiday season on Cyber Monday! Of the people surveyed, 58% said they will be shopping for themselves and for others on Cyber Monday in these categories:

• 70% for clothing deals
• 50% for toy deals
• 34% for appliance deals
• 32% for tablet deals
• 32% for laptop deals
• 26% for HDTV deals
• 23% for smartphone deals
• 26% for other deals

Green Monday! Dec. 10, 2012

Green Monday is the second Monday in December and the last big online holiday sales event of the shopping season. "Never heard of it," was the response we got from most of the people surveyed and frankly, before I started working here I hadn't heard of it either. "The name Green Monday was coined by eBay in 2007 after analysts at the company realized it’s annually the best sales day in December for the site," says Kyle Psaty from Daily Perk.

Expect to see some of the best deals of the season on Green Monday from your favorite online merchants! According to our survey, once they learned about this secret savvy shopping day, 95.8% of people plan to shop for holiday gifts on Green Monday, December 10th, this year!

Free Shipping Day! Dec 17, 2012

You've gotta love free shipping because it takes away any excuse for shopping online! It's the day best deals are made better because you can pocket all the savings without spending a penny to get the goods. Last year I did a lot of shopping on Free Shipping day for gifts for our out of town family members, shipping their presents directly to them.
