In two days, our favorite feasting holiday will be upon us...Thanksgiving! Despite munching on turkey and being with family, holiday travel can be quite the hassle. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the following weekend are one of the busiest travel times of the year.
This year I will be commuting to Chicago, which is only about two hours from my home. One of the biggest tips that I try to follow with holiday travel is to leave early. The roads start to fill up quickly, and getting a head start can avoid any delays. If you are traveling by air, I would suggest checking the airliner's website to see if the flight is on time. Also, I'd pack small if you could. Having to wait for baggage can add more time on your schedule and create unnecessary worries if it arrived or not.
If you are not traveling for the holidays, then let out a big wahoo! Kim, our favorite deal hunter, found about eight hot travel deals this week. From deep discounts off hotels to cheap flights, book now and enjoy the time later!
Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels this week!
