My email confirmation arrived 8 hours later.

Also, I can't enter the coupon using Paypal. Using their online checkout + citicard virtual cc no instead.

† You will probably never see it. †They attempt to send immediately (I run my mail server and firewall, so I saw the connection when it happened).

As I wrote below, their mail server IP addresses appear on mulitple spam blacklists. †Many e-mail providers will refuse their connections for that reason alone. †Others may weigh the blacklist presence along with the e-mail coming out of Asia and block the message as spam.

I can attest to these knock off cables screwing up my battery.

in what sense? Affecting the calibration or shorting the lifespan?†

very timely...these are reported to damage iphone5 .. gotta get these out for 30 cents on the dollar before they are only worth 5 cents on the dollar!

† Click on checkout, create an account, enter the coupon and then select pay pal as the method of payment. It took me some time to figure this out.

The code only discounts one. I ordered 10, and only received one for $.29. I changed my quantity to one.

† You do understand that this is just a cable, right? †Claiming that it can 'fry your device' is akin to claiming that using a cheap air hose can cause your car tires to explode.

Apple does not supply "chargers" for their portable devices. †They supply power adapters that produce regulated DC. †See: †Understanding iPhone Charging and Power Adapters

††
Ahh, I mixed it up with the generic chargers which have caused bad press, my bad. †

††
Apparently I was right -†Charging your iPhone using a third party charger or USB lead that does not regulate this as much allows for larger variables in voltage and current, this then damages the U2 IC and can leave you with a seemingly dead iPhone 5.

I'm done with the generic cables. Even at a low price point I'm just tired of constantly replacing them.

† From what I remember reading. The Chinese government subsidizes shipping to the US. If it's not that then the Chinese are just magical.†

† The US government subsidizes. This is one of the best bilateral treaties that China made with the USA in order to screw us.

††
Actually under international postal treaty, the Chinese Postal Service would subsidize for any volume of first class mail (by weight) that come to the U.S. in excess of mail going from the U.S. to China. Lookup Universal Postal Union for specifics.

rated:
China has it's own special treaty with the US. It does not fall under the default international one.

I received mine. No issues so far. I use it in the car for charging an iPhone 5. Going to order one more.

rated:
even if it ends up being complete trash, .29$ is worth the risk.

rated:
saving a few dollars and taking the risk of frying your 600 hundred phone is NOT worth the risk

rated:
after reading the above article, maybe its not actually worth the risk. Good to have some specific information rather than the anecdotal low quality warnings.

† I get the error message for an 5s I tried with.

If you are looking for a Apple MFi Certified lightning cable, I recommend you to buy the Kinkoo brand MFI lightning cable at Amazon.com with a very good price. This cable is 4 feet and they offer 15 months warranty, I bought 2 for my iPhone 5s and iPad mini, and itís perfectly fits my otter box case, great product.
