Awesome! I just found a hole yesterday in my original pair of hiking Thorlos after wearing them for 20 years.

In for a pair. Thanks.

I have one pair of Thorlos and like them. They offer 3 types so I'll order a different type and try them out.
Thanks OP

Unsubscribed from thread.  Not paying $5 for 1 pair of socks when I can get like 5 pair for the same price at Wal-Mart!

rated:
Since when does $4.90 equal free?!?

If that is the case, you all really missed out on a hot deal at my local gas station yesterday!

They were giving away free GAS!!!  You just had to pay a $3.72 per gallon S&H charge!

Next time I see them running that special again I'll be sure to post it to the Hot Deals forum!  Make sure to give me green when I do!!!

So $4.90 for a pair of Thorlos. How much are they normally, and can you get these for $5~ (or less) on sale at most discount-clothing stores (e.g. TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc)?

Oh NM .... it says it's a "$13.99 - $14.99 value" on the site lol. I don't know if I'd ever pay that much for a pair of socks anyway, let alone $5

rated:
These are amazing socks.. yea not free but worth the 5$ shipping. Not comparable to WalMart socks if you are a hiker or long distance runner... unless you think a bugatti is comparable to a hyandai

rated:
great find!

I have no clue what this is but ordered one anyway

Poor people problems.  Enjoy your disposable WalMart socks.

Being that they'll last for a year of agressive use (twice a week running), they are absolutely worth $14 a pair to me.  I never see them on sale other than a typical 'buy 3 get 1 free' promotion.

Nice. Didn't realize they had so many different types. I got a pair of the shin-high "work" crew socks - should be great to pair with my Xtratufs for fishing

You posted just to tell us that you're not buying them?

I bit.  $5 for a pair of socks is pricey, but the reviews on Amazon are extremely positive... and the cost there is $12-14 a pair.

I never thought I'd pay as much as I paid for Duluth Trading Company underwear either, but once I had my first pair, I was hooked.

Thanks OP.

No, you'll find these at REI, Sports Authority, etc.  Depending on the "model" they run $12-$16.  Best "sale" has been buy 2 or 3 pair and get one free.
When I first started hiking it was a double pair of the $1/pr cotton Wal-Mart socks.  Soaked socks, blisters, & feet that didn't want to touch solid ground.
These are synthetic, wick-dry, durable socks ... I put 50 miles on 'em at Glacier and my feet were always ready for more.  My feet say $15 was money well spent.  My FatWallet says $4.90 is even better.
Trying to talk my relatives into this deal.  My size socks of course.

LOL. That's a great idea. I'm gonna send a mass email to all my aunts, uncles and cousins Limit one pair per billing address haha

IN-4-1 to try... $5 that might help foot and joint pain is well spent and no big loss if it doesn't.

I've bought many $10 pairs of wool winter socks that last for a few years each... so this may be a deal! Thanks OP!

Plus, those white tube socks look good with your square-toed dress shoes!

In 4 a hiking pair. Thanks OP

Lol @ the "I can get cheaper socks elsewhere". No kidding genius. If I go buy a TV for $1,000, you aren't a smarter person for saying you can get a $100 TV.

I too thought that paying $15 for a pair of socks was crazy, before I started running 25 miles+ per week.
These are the only socks I wear now when I run. Very durable, should last for a long time (years).
Thanks OP!

In for a pair, nice socks are worth it, foot pain is no joke

in for 1. These socks are well worth it at 15 bucks, much less 5 bucks including shipping. Thanks OP

Wore my keens up to Mount Hood with the socks I got from this deal not knowing we would be walking through snow to ride up the ski lift (I know - not smart in hindsight but we weren't there to ski).

Once I knocked the snow out of my sandals I was amazed my feet never got cold even dangling off the lift.

Definitely buying another pair.Edit : Thorlo Men's Coolmax Lt Hiker Mini Crew Sock
