Good find - I was hoping this would be out soon after seeing it at CES. I wonder if US liability laws make it hard(er) to sell this here? Definitely one of the better dashcams from what I can tell in the video.

I was researching that as well, Android has Car DVR, DailyRoads Voyager. etc. Problem I see - it is much harder to use it, especially if you use your phone for navigation, Pandora and as a regular phone in the same time. People report crashes and bunch of problems. Standalone DVR is 100 times more reliable IMHO - nothing is worse than to think you have everything recorded only to find out later on that it didn't work.
Good price for this unit. ~$200 might seem like a lot for a dash cam, but keep in mind that it has GPS sensor (might be handy if you are contesting a speeding ticket) and supports rear view cam. It also has a gravity sensor, which gets activated in case of collision and automatically protects footage from deletion. Night quality is great too. I'd much rather get one recommended from them rather than this Garmin which we know almost nothing about. You have a much better chance of getting a better and cheaper camera based on DashCamTalk's recommendations.
My friend got hit by a car in front of him once. The driver accidentally bumped the stick at red light and switched to reverse. At green he just backed up really fast and hit my friend's car. Seeing there was no witness, the driver wanted to blame my friend for rear-ending him. Luckily friend's car cam recorded everything, otherwise it would be hard to argue.
I heard this thing helped solve many hit and run cases in Asian countries where almost every car has one installed.
