The price doesn't seem that stellar given the numerous sales on these along with the fact they are not guaranteed to be 100% "manufacturer" refurbished but also could be refurb's from a 3rd party vendor (per the item details). Since the vast majority of their negative feedback is just for this Surface tablet...whomever is doing the "refurbishing" seems to be sub par.

I got bored of counting at 50+ for the negatives for the 30 days on just this Surface item. I didn't even bother to count the neutrals..but it appears to be the similar trend based on just that first page. The seller does seem to sell a variety of products..so the amount of bad transactions seems to be quite skewed towards this particular product.
Given the price history...I wouldn't think it should be too much longer before Microsoft themselves (or Best Buy) has another sale at $499 (or lower) brandnew.
Fair enough, I was only looking at the past 30 days. Given the volume this seller moves I think 98.6% is a pretty good overall rating. As for the Surface, price will continue to drop. I'd expect to see these at $399 new real soon and it will continue to fall.
Bought a refurbished Surface RT from them last month. It had some issues, so I returned it. Handling of the return was great. No questions asked, they covered return shipping, and the money was refunded fast.
ntddvltt said: Any good price on Type Cover 2? These things are expensive! Do NOT get the TC2. The felt covering on the mouse is horrible. It drags and you will wear a hole in it after a few months. Also, the buttons don't click. They are silent and non-tactile. It's a terribly designed keyboard. Find an original type cover and deal without having a light, IMO. In fact, the original type keyboards are selling at a premium - buy one soon before they become like $300 on eBay.
I ordered this on Friday. Got it yesterday. Mine was manufacturer refurbished. It came in the Microsoft "Refurbished" box. It is nearly as good as new. There is slight (very slight) wear on the back of the case. It is probably about as much wear as you would expect after a week or two of very light usage. Screen is perfect. Manufacturer refurbished also includes a brand new battery. I personally don't think these will be going for much lower before they are sold out. Maybe, maybe $400. They are not making new Surface Pro 1s.
