Seems Ecost likes to cancel orders when ever and for what ever reason they please . Did you find a nice priced deal that they offered ?? ....well there is a good chance it will be canceled without a valid explanation .

7 year customer

I have purchased over one thousand dollars worth of electronic merchandise at unbelievable prices. the usb flash memory and SD cards are the cheapest anywhere. I have bought three refurbished, (which means broken stuff that has been repaired to like new condition) passport type hard drives, three refurbished MP3 player, a GPS and many other items. I just have not seen the problems that the other reviewers are experiencing. I have only dealt with customer service once and thought it was fine, got my refund. This site is CHEAP and refurbs have shorter warranties than new stuff. There is risk involved. if you need assurance buy new.

Worst experiences ever

by josecano on February 13th, 2012
There are so many things that I dislike about e Cost that I don't even know were i should start. How about were at no point refurbished meant that it could be missing basic parts like the remote control. I called to complain and was hung up on 3 time. In my many years of buying online I have never experienced such bad costumer support, I usually buy off of amazon and I've never had a bad experience. this however is the first and last time i will ever buy something from this website. Oh wait there is more!!! I happen to have already purchased this Blu-ray of of amazon a while ago. I like the product so that is why i bought another. But getting back to the most annoying thing of all, i brought the remote from upstairs down to test it out and as it turns out it doesn't even play Blu-rays. I was not pleased at all and i am not even done, as it turns out i was on the phone for another 4 hours adding to the entire day i spent trying to fix the remote problem and this takes so long because you have to go through about 20 different people trying to tell you that nothing is wrong at all. when you finally convince then that there is something wrong and you get to have them call it dysfunctional you go trough 3 more prosecution to return something and get your money back. E cost has wasted about a day and a half of my life that i will never get back. Next time i will buy on amazon. Also one more thing, the comments on the website about the Blu-ray are clearly made by someone working for the company. They didn't even make it seem like they were trying to hid it(No your not helping american jobs if your support is all based in India and you don't even try to sell a good product).

Refurbished means used

by rms1 on September 22nd, 2010
Purchased a refurbished (like new) Logitech Dinovo Edge Keyboard from eCost.com. The keyboard was clearly used with the serial numbers blacked out. It required a thorough cleaning before it could be used. The battery would then only hold a charge for 7 days. On my new keyboard the charge lasts 45 days. Customer service offered a $10 rebate which it later withdrew. The restocking fee can be 20% at their discretion. The emails from customer service did not confirm the verbal discussions with the telephone agent. I found similar complaints about eCost on other items such as TVs. Buy refurbished from eCost at your peril.
