This is for people who don't fell like sifting through the Black Friday forum to find all the available Black Friday ads. Please add any additional ads in the Quick Summary. I will update this thread as soon as possible. Feel free to subscribe!
Please keep this thread short as we will have people subscribing to this thread, as we don't want an email for every "thanks". But if there is a new ad posted, please post a reply.
Look for most of the other ads to show up by this Friday!

Very disappointed about this year...
Thanks for the effort iceui2!
I actually spoke to someone working at one of the retailers. The reason why the ads are not out yet is because they are not yet made. They had last minute decision to change many of the prices in the ads, resulting in changes/printing. We will most likely see the ads within the next 7 days.
Don't be! Have you seen the retail #'s the stores are posting this year! This is going to be a do or die season for them. I for one expect to see some of the best deals in a decade. If you don't see ads yet, it's because they haven't figured out how low they need to go to get customers in. It's sad to think that many of these stores will probably go under in January. Long term, thats not good for the consumer so it's another reason I think this will be prime time if you have the cash/credit.

I find it interesting that people show no loyalty to their local B&Ms, search for the best deal (usually online), then complain when their local favorites go out of business. Same thing when WallyWorld opens new stores - people flocked in for low prices, then complain when local jobs and tax revenues decline.
The retail recession started last year, when real estate values dropped and people could no longer use their homes as piggy banks to buy new Hummers, kitchens, family vacations to Hawaii, etc. Retailers were not expecting much of a holiday season even before the financial meltdown, cut back on their holiday orders and inventories, limiting the need for deep discounts to move merchandise.
My forecast for BF - lots of promotion and hype, causing local lines and stampedes, followed by bait-and-switch deals and upselling for the less savvy, and disappointment for deal hunters.
Am not sure whether this is the correct place to post this Question. But, am sure that this is the correct time to ask this, and if it happens, this is the place it will/should be listed too.
Am wondering whether anyone is working on the consolidated EXCEL Sheet for this year BF deals like last year? I just love that sheet. Just 2 weeks to go...so hope some one has already started preparing it...when is it expected to hit FW?

i think this wud come up on the bfads.net website...last 2 times i saw it there..i mean a better one!
Man, this is a terrible terrible market. Its only 19 days before black friday and there are barely any BlackFriday Ads out there. And the ad scans that are even out are crap compared to prior years. What are these companies thinking? ppl have less money to spend so lets have crappier deals?
I keep hearing how sales are down... how the stores committed to their Black Friday merchandise some time ago...
In the area I live in, one of our local major employer's has been embroiled in a strike the last two months... local retailers have to have taken some lumps in sales...
The irony is that two of the larger lists are from effectively the same retailer... (Kmart and Sears)... Most of the others that I would expect to be out... (Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Fry's, etc) either aren't out at all, or they're effectively useless (Neutered because they don't have pricing).
This year hasn't been a nice one... between gas price fluctuation, stock market tanking (and destroying numerous people's retirement accounts or just plain income accounts...), and what not, people don't have the money they'd usually have to spend on Christmas...
I'm unsure if retailers are just trying to hold the cards close to their chests (so to speak) this year or if they just haven't made up their minds on their price point.
We'll have to see... Many retailer's may be gambling with their future in what they decide to do with their Black Friday ad's...
"Without immediate relief, the company is concerned that it will not receive goods for Black Friday and the upcoming holiday season, which could cause irreparable harm to the company and its stakeholders," Besanko said.
