MyPoFriend said:I agree, it must be a price mistake. I thought Nintendo had a rule requiring retailers follow MSRP. Sam's typically has Nintendo products listed a dollar under retail because of some contract agreement th this warehouse club. If this deal is real, get in line.

Yup. Nintendo is able to hold the price line pretty well across the board.

Like everyone else who has a Sam's Club membership, I hope the deal is real. But I'm not holding my breath.

Proof for those that still don't believe...

There is a scan floating around that shows the price mistake and the $425 corrected price.
(I posted a link earlier but it keeps getting removed)

Why would you say that? If someone can go and buy something at a discount price (i.e. Wholesale) and sell it for a profit what is wrong with that? That is called capitalism and if that waiting in line for 8 hours puts food on someones table for being able to get a guaranteed profit. WHY WOULD YOU SLAM THAT? What do you think Stores do that buy Wii's and then sell them to you at a markup. Business 101...wake up and go to school tomorrow.

Sams Price Correction

Hey if you want to post a link, at least do one that actually works. Otherwise, I am reporting you to the moderators.

Sams Price Correction

It worked when I posted it, genius. Sams had everyone pull the BF ads, but if you want to stand in line waiting for a $425 Wii, be my guest...

Thanks for the heads up. You've just saved me from making an unnecessary trip this Friday.

Anyway, here's more proof for the doubters among us:

Moving onto the bad, this Tuesday we posted the Sam's Club Black
Friday advertisement. It will disappoint many to know that the price
listed for the Wii Family Bundle ( http://bfads.net/Link/458 ) was
inaccurate. The correct price for the Wii Family Bundle at Sam's Club
on Black Friday is $425 (the incorrect price was stated as $224 -- a
$200 difference).

This was in a recent email from blackfriday subscriber list.

Sorry to disappoint all.

why? 1 minute of looking shows the Sharp has a slower response time (6.5 ms to the Philips 2 ms), the Sharp has a worse contrast ratio, and the Sharp has fewer inputs. So that makes the Philips "a rip"?

Darn it! I was excited to get the Wii. Just for the fun of it, I'd get there on Thursday to wait. That is the fun of BF. But now I can skip Sams...

I looked at the BF Ad and obviously it will change to reflect the new Wii price, but I'm curious if anyone has anymore inforamtion about the JVC TV/DVD Combo they had advertised for $598? I can't find it anywhere on the internet; I want to look at the specs. SC does sell a JVC 32" tv (See Link: http://www.SamsClub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=397676&pCatg=5883) but I don't think its the same one as in the ad.

Does anyone know how a non member could get a membership, even one of $10 deals that they had last month? I'm interested in just having it for the holidays. Not a full blown annual membership.

You could go as a guest, however you'll have a surcharge (I think it's 10%?)

The actual BF deals are now posted on the sams club website. The 42" Philips is actually $100 less than stated in the ad ($798 now) which makes it a pretty hot deal to me. Especially considering you can return any TV to Sams at any time, period. Who needs a warranty? Looks like Amazon.com sells the same TV for $1150. See Link:

The ad says that the Wii bundle is $425.
